Walks and Adventures

Pearl Beach to Patonga Walk
A classic coastal walk with great views. You can walk one way and catch the bus (timetable depending) or a cab back. The walk one way takes about an hour.

Pearly Ponds
A short steep climb from the end of Emerald Ave behind the fire station leads to sandstone slabs, freshwater pools and a rope swing. Stunning spot after rain. It takes about 15 minutes from the house to get there, with the last 5 minutes being steep. Follow the secret trail at the end of Emerald Ave behind the fire station to the left towards Green Point Creek and it takes you up next to a waterfall. Keep walking up to the ridge and you come to an expanse of rock that you can walk along with pools of water on it. Eventually, you come to a pool that is deep enough to have a rope swing hanging over it. The water is incredibly clear and cold. Highly recommended.

Pearl Beach to Umina Walk
Pick up the track at the dumpers’ end or via Coral Crescent. You’ll come out near Umina Surf Club. You can walk down to the ‘dumpers’ end of the beach and join a trail that goes all the way around to Umina Beach. You can also walk down Coral Crescent to join the trail.
